Our design team pulled our palette directly from nature. The variations of tones, shades, and textures mimic natural materials.

Modeled from Nature

Robust edge-sculpting and multi-width imprints remove the manufactured look seen in most metal tiles, creating a more natural appearance. Additional corrugation on our shake profile enhances the tileā€™s texture and durability.

When it came to developing a shake and slate metal tile with unprecedented water protection, our engineering team looked to nature for inspiration.

Water-shedding channels

Capillary action causes water to behave like a sticky substance. Cascading water wants to travel laterally along the edge of a roof tile and seep onto the underlayment. Weā€™ve engineered our proprietary design to lock water into a channel, diverting downward over the tile and away from the underlayment, minimizing the greatest threat to your roof: water damage.

Drain-savvy ridge caps

True Natureā€™s proprietary ridge cap system features a 7ā€ wide ridge cap. This allows for a secondary water channel or ā€œbeakā€ that diverts driving rainwater over top of the tile rather than beneath, where it can cause damage to the roof deck.

The Over-Tile Drainage System

Working together, the various channels and drainage avenues on the interlocked tiles feed rainfall down and over top of the roofing structure, returning rainwater back into the ground as nature intended.

Coastal wave's lightweight design takes all the bulk out of traditional clay tiles and optimizes their natural protective qualities.

Direct to deck installation

Thanks to its wide back shelf, Coastal Wave tiles install easily without requiring any costly wood strapping. This makes installation considerably faster than competing metal roof tiles.

COVERAGE NATURE INTENDED

Thanks to their snug fit and parallel ribbing, Coastal Wave tiles easily prevent water from seeping onto your roof deck.

Water-shedding channels

The tileā€™s parallel ribbing naturally channels water off the roof so that it flows evenly into the eave trough.

Fastener system

Fasteners are thoughtfully positioned where they are least likely to provide a point of entry for cascading water.
